Installation Guide
Things You Will Need
Pencil
Screwdriver
Level
Stud finder
Drill and drill bit
Locate the Studs
Use a stud finder in the desired area to locate the studs. With a pencil, lightly mark the location of any studs are found. Make sure you find the center of your stud.
Hickory Floating Shelves should be installed directly onto wall studs. We cannot guarantee easy anchors will hold them. Hickory wood is a dense heavy wood.
Determine the Placement
Determine where to hang your shelf by lining it up with wall studs for a secure hold. Hold the shelf bracket up in the desired location, make sure it is level and lightly mark a line at the top of the bracket.
We recommend installing at least one of the screws into a stud. Two is ideal but not always able to do. Metal Easy Anchors can be purchased at your local hardware store in the case you cannot reach a stud.
Install the Brackets
Now hold the bracket level with your line and screw the bracket into the desired studs, these have pre-drilled holes for you. 3 inch screws provided.
Install the Shelf
Line up the holes on the back of the shelf with the bracket and slide the shelf over the bracket. There are predrilled holes in the tops of your shelves that you now use the 1 ¼ inch provided screw.
Enjoy your beautiful shelves 😊
