Due to the natural variance in wood, each piece will have its own unique grain, natural imperfections, and characteristics, like knots, knot holes, grain lines that showcase light and dark areas across the wood.
WHAT IS THE FINISH? CLEAR-We believe in showcasing the natural beauty of wood. We use a satin clear poly urethane coat on all options except for Unfinished. Unfinished will come without clear coat. Please note in message if you want it unfinished. We also do stain for many customers, if you have a specific color in mind please send a photo and we will work with you to get a match.
WEIGHT LIMIT: conservatively 35-40 pounds when properly installed. NOTE: HICKORY PECAN IS SIGNIFICANTLY HEAVIER THEN OTHER WOODS. THESE MUST GO INTO A STUD.

ARE THESE SOLID WOOD?
Shelves are not solid wood, they have a hollow core and have a Solid Wood Trim (front and sides) - wall to wall shelves see below. The trim may not match perfectly with the top and bottom of the shelf as different materials are used. Once the shelves are installed this is not noticeable.
HOW DOES THE SHELF MOUNT TO THE WALL?
There is a bracket that is shipped inside the shelf, the bracket pulls out and attaches to the wall using the included hardware. Once the bracket is mounted, the shelf slides back onto it and is secured with hidden screws.
*PACKAGING*
We make our own shipping boxes as much as possible. We reuse the cardboard sheets that come on our wood deliveries plus we get reuse boxes from friends, family and our community. We also reuse some of the foam sheet packaging we receive with wood deliveries.
